Commissioner Doctorate Program

MISSISSIPPI VALLEY COUNCIL
COMMISSIONER DOCTORATE PROGRAM
2012

Available to current Commissioners who have previously completed doctorate courses at a Commissioner College but have not completed their doctorate.

This is the final opportunity to complete the thesis without having to “retake” doctorate classes at a commissioner college.

Step 1: Commissioner must have completed the doctorate courses at a Commissioner College.
Step 2: Email Donna Buss, Course Director, busses@hcil.net with the information below & get approval for thesis topic by April 1, 2012.
Step 3: Sept. 1, 2012—Submit thesis for approval. (Some may require additional work/changes after submission at the discretion of course director or designee)
Suggestion: Submit outline or rough draft at any time prior to this date for comments so that you aren’t caught by surprise on Sept 1, 2012. [No exceptions to this deadline so that there is adequate time to order awards for presentation.]
Step 4: Attend the University of Scouting on November 17th. Attendance at the University of Scouting is a mandatory part of this doctorate option. Please mark your schedule accordingly and make arrangements now to be available.
