The Physically Strong Adventure Challenge is sponsored by the Mississippi Valley Council and Quincy Medical Group Foundation will benefit the Boy Scouts and is called the Physically Strong Adventure Challenge. The race will be held on Saturday October 15, 2011. Opening ceremonies will be conducted on Friday evening beginning with a pasta dinner at Camp Saukenauk, race meeting and basic orienteering instructions hosted by the Scouts. This is an event designed with beginners to adventure racing in mind and is USARA (United States Adventure Racing Association) certified.

Basic fitness, determination, and a great sense of humor will all be necessary to complete the 8 hour event that will include basic orienteering, mountain biking, canoeing, zip line, climbing wall, repelling and scout trivia. Teams will consist of 2 or 4 person teams same gender or co-ed. We will have experts from Madison Davis Bicycle Shop at the pre-race meeting to help with basic bike maintenance.
