PACKS

ANNUAL

 

JTE Pack & Den Mts-- Pack meets 9 times a year; Dens meet twice a month; Pack committee meets at least 6 -10+ times per year; 
JTE Fitness—Pack at least incorporates fitness activity plus promote & coordinate fitness program;  Pack goes one step further and has scouts track their fitness program/participation
JANUARY JTE Advancement--Have packs prepared for advancing scouts at upcoming Blue and Golds?
JTE Day/Resident Camp—Is the pack selling Camp Cards to help scouts pay for camp?  Do they have an FOS presentation scheduled to qualify for camp savings plan?
JTE Webelos to Scout Transition—pack/troop have planned an activity between now and May 31st that includes a troop parent orientation/camp promo?  (Combined Blue & Gold/Court of Honor, work on Scouting for Food together, other activity)
FEBRUARY JTE Outdoor Activity—Yukon
JTE Trained Leadership—Review pack ldr training records and schedule trainings as needed (OLS, BALOO, OWLS, Specific Ldr, Youth Protection)
JTE Service Project—Has pack planned 4 service projects for 2012 and has a plan to record hours on Good Turn for America
MARCH JTE Membership  Has pack planned on spring recruiting and summer program
JTE Day/Resident Camp—Initial sign up due for Resident Camp to qualify for camp savings plan.
JTE Service Project—Scouting for Food (record hours on Good Turn for America)
APRIL JTE Outdoor Activity—Has pack planned to attend resident camp and held promo?
JTE Service Project—Earth day activities (record hours on Good Turn for America)
JTE Budget—Do an evaluation with Cubs to see what they liked during the year, what they want to do in the future, etc. & figure activities in to unit budget.  Review budget @ monthly pack planning meeting or with parents at pack meeting.
MAY JTE Advancement  Have new scouts recruited in spring, received Bobcat?
JTE Outdoor Activity—Great month to hold weiner roast or outdoor ice cream social for pack graduation.
JTE Leadership—By May 31, the unit confirms/recruits pack/den leadership for fall?
JUNE JTE Outdoor Activity—Has the pack planned at least one summertime outdoor activity?
JTE Day/Resident Camp—Attend resident camp
JTE Fitness—Has pack  had  a fitness activity plus promote & coordinate fitness program;  Pack goes one step further and has scouts track their fitness program/participation
JULY JTE Membership  Has pack planned  Aug/Sept round up?  
JTE Outdoor Activity & JTE Day/Resident Camp—Son and I

AUG JTE Outdoor Activity & JTE Day/Resident Camp —Son and I
JTE Budget—Budget is presented to committee/parents before Aug 31st includes popcorn sales, camp cards, activity expense, etc.

SEPT JTE Retention  Have all Cubs registered with the pack been personally contacted and invited back to the pack?
JTE Outdoor Activity—Fall Cub Campout/Webelos Woods
JTE Service Project—Has pack completed 3 service projects and has a plan for one more?  (All hours recorded on Good Turn for America)
JTE Leadership—Has pack planned a fall recruiting tonight to occur before Sept. 30th?
OCT JTE Advancement  Have new scouts recruited in Aug/Sept received Bobcat?
JTE Outdoor Activity—Fall Cub Campout
JTE Trained Leadership/JTE Register on Time—Hold annual Youth Protection training for adults during a unit mtg or attend RT trainings.
JTE Register on Time—Conduct a membership inventory; collect necessary dues; determine who will be rechartering with your unit.  Collect new apps as necessary.
JTE Leadership/JTE Register on Time—Pack has all leaders registered/recruited by Oct. 15th?
NOV JTE Register on Time—Complete online rechartering by Nov. RT and bring recharter to RT.
