District Dinner The Cherokee
District Annual Recognition Dinner will be held on Saturday, January
23, 2010. Please reserve
this date on your calendar.
This event will be held at the Plainville Baptist Church.
This is the same location as last year and is a wonderful site
for this activity. We
plan to have a lot of fun and recognize many of our wonderful
volunteers in Cherokee District.

The 2009
Popcorn campaign has some exciting new ideas this year.
Every Scout who fills up a take-order sheet can take that
first filled sheet
into the Council Service Center and receive a marshmallow blaster.
The boys can also earn some great prizes by selling
popcorn. Please mark
in your calendar that October 24th is the Show &
Deliver popcorn distribution, November 19th the Show &
Deliver popcorn money is due, November 23rd the
Take-Order popcorn orders are due, December 5th the
Take-Order popcorn distribution is at the Pittsfield Farm Service
Warehouse, and December 22nd, the Take-Order Popcorn
money is due by 5:00 p.m.

we are going to see great things happen.
I thank all the wonderful volunteers who are making this
possible. We are having
an excellent School Night recruiting campaign for Cub Scouts and we
are looking forward to an extraordinary Popcorn Campaign.
Thanks again for a job well done.
Roundtable The Cherokee
Roundtable will continue to be held at the Griggsville Methodist
Church Hall on the second Thursday of each month.
Cherokee District will continue their Roundtable program until
the first of the year.
Roundtable begins at 7:00 p.m. with refreshments available for the
volunteers who attend.
