SILVER BEAVER AWARDS

The Mississippi Valley Council presented four Silver Beaver Awards on Saturday, February 2, 2008 . The Silver Beaver Award is presented to individuals who are registered members of the Boy Scouts of America and have given distinguished service to youth. While not the only factor, recipients of the Silver Beaver Award are those who have demonstrated by their past Scouting and other community activities that their service to young people is a lifetime commitment. The award is the highest award that can be presented by a local Council.

2007 POPCORN WINNERS

Congratulations to Alexander Harbin of Fox Pack 2 for being the Council's Top Popcorn Salesman. Alexander sold $3,208 worth of popcorn and chose the TV/ DVD combo as his prize. The District Filler-Up winners are:

Cherokee District: Gabriel Lay of Pack 11 and Dustin Butler of Troop 11
Fox District: Drew Klauser of Pack 76 and Ben Morrison of Troop 99
River Valley District: Nathan Cameron of Pack 50 and Jake Shannon of Troop 33
Shoquoquon District: Bradley Wachtel of Pack 54 and Matthew Monfils of Troop 1

Each Filler-Up winner chose between a 2GB MP3 Player or a 7” portable DVD player. Congratulations winners and a BIG thank you to all of our Cubs, Scouts and Venturers who sold popcorn in 2007!
