Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS)
A new Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster is considered trained upon completion of Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training and the Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.
This hands-on program gives adult leaders a practical introduction to the patrol method of a Scout-led troop by teaching many of the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors.
This training will be a two day training, starting on Saturday November 6th at 8am and lasting until noon on Sunday November 7th.
Coffee, water & meals will be provided during the training. Items to bring are: tent, camp mug, camp chair, notebook and pen/pencil, sleeping bag, mess kit, flashlight, compass, rain gear, Scouting America Handbook, toilet gear, Class A Uniform.

This training will be a rain or shine event. This training will max out at 24 participants.
Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills training is designed to teach leaders the skills that they need to help new Scouts work through the first three ranks of Scouting America. As such, this training is best suited to Scouting America leaders and Webelos Den Leaders. Others may benefit from this training as well.
Time: Registration 8:00 AM with class lasting until Sunday at noon.
Cost: FREE to leaders registering by October 29th, 2021. There is a $30 fee for those registering after October 29th.
