2019 NYLT – National Youth Leadership Training
National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed week of program to provide youth members with leadership skills and experiences they can bring back to their home units. Content is delivered in a troop outdoor setting with the emphasis on immediate applications of learning in a Fun environment. NYLT integrates the best of modern leadership theory with the traditional strengths of the Scouting experience. Through activities, presentations, challenges, discussions, and audio-visual support, NYLT participants will work together in patrols and live the Patrol Method.
WHO: Participants must be 13 years old (or completed 7th grade). Prior to attending Scouts must earn 1st Class and Venturers or Explorers must be prepared to camp.
WHEN: Sunday June 23 – Saturday June 29, 2019 at Saukenauk Scout Reservation
FEES: $310.00/Early Bird fee of $285.00 if paid before May 17, 2019. Financial Assistance is available through the Council’s Campership program
WHAT TO BRING: A detailed packing list will be sent directly to you from the NYLT Scoutmaster after registration. You will also need a current Scouting America Health and Medical Record (Parts A, B, and C).
