Kristal Pitzer, Development DirectorKristal, a native of the Midwest, raised just across the Mississippi River in Pike County Missouri is the new Development Director for Mississippi Valley Council Boy Scouts of America. Kristal has several years experience in working with not for profit agencies as well as experience with fundraising and event planning. Most Recently she was the Executive Director of her local Chamber of Commerce and Visitors and Convention Bureau. Kristal is working on her Bachelors in Criminal Justice with Columbia College and plans to have that completed by 2025.Kristal transplanted to Quincy IL two years ago and currently resides here with her fiancé Reed and children. Kristal is a mom to five boys and one girl and a step mom of one boy. Kristal thoroughly enjoys her family time and supporting her children as they participate in activities. Welcome to MVC! Mimi McKinney, District ExecutiveMimi McKinney, an experienced manager, leader, educator, and long-time Scouter from Southern Illinois, is our new Eagle Valley District Executive. Mimi volunteered in the Greater St. Louis Area Council as the founder and Committee Chair of Cub Scout Pack 185 and Boy Scout Troop 185, in addition to being a Merit Badge Counselor, Eagle Project Mentor, Nova Counselor, and Supernova Mentor, and was awarded the 2014 Ruritan Scout Leader Award, the 2016 Outstanding Scouter Award, and the United Methodist Cross and Flame Award. She also served as the Director of the Wayne City School Herpetology Club and Herpetarium, a school-based species conservation and educational outreach initiative, which gained national recognitions including: Multiplying Good's One in a Million Award, the Daily Point of Light Award, YSA's (Youth Service America) Everyday Young Hero Award, Serve Illinois Commission's Illinois Volunteer of the Week, Hershey’s Heartwarming Project Action Award, the William T. Hornaday Award, the Prudential Spirit of Community Award, and the 2019 Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award for both the Southern Illinois National Eagle Scout Association and the Greater St. Louis Area Council.
