CANCELLED – Wilderness First Aid via Zoom

Wilderness First Aid is the assessment of and treatment given to an ill or injured person in a remote environment where definite care of a physician and/or rapid transport is not readily available. In this wilderness first aid class, students will learn how to assess, treat and, when possible, prevent medical and traumatic emergencies within the scope of their training.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be lecture only. The course will not be completed until we can get together and complete the hands-on portion of the course.

DATES:  April 25, 2020

TIME:  8:00 a.m.

LOCATION:  Zoom Videoconference – you will receive the link after you pre-register

COST:  $50/student

PREREQUISITE:  Current CPR/AED Certification required for course completion.

REGISTRATION:  Contact Scout Office to preregister for class.  Pre-registration guarantees placement in class.

Mississippi Valley Council registered Scouts/Scouters will have priority placement for this class.

ASHI Wilderness First Aid course meets the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid guidelines for all high adventure bases.
